How does the design consultation process work?

We bring the showroom to you. We visit your home to measure your windows and let you look at samples in your actual lighting. This is crucial because colors look different in your living room than they do in a store. We help you choose the right product, give you a price on the spot, and there is zero pressure to buy right then.

Do you use your own installers or sub it out?

We use our own trained installation team, no random subcontractors. Our installers are specialists in our products, work professionally, and leave your space clean when they're done.

Is there a charge for the estimate?

No, our estimates are completely free. We provide in-home consultations at no cost, giving you accurate measurements and personalized recommendations with no obligation.

How long does it take from ordering to installation?

It depends on the product. Some shades can be ready in a couple of weeks, while custom plantation shutters might take a bit longer to fabricate. We will give you a transparent timeline during your consultation so you know exactly when to expect us.

Tailored Roller Shades for Bright Coastal Rooms

Custom window shades give Safety Harbor homeowners a versatile, tailored way to manage light and comfort. We build each shade around the room and your goals, whether that means softening harsh afternoon sun, boosting privacy, cutting UV, adding automation, or simply keeping a clean, modern look.

Coastal living brings bright rooms and large glass, so flexible light control matters. The right shade tames glare without making a space feel heavy, letting you enjoy the view while staying comfortable inside.

You also get plenty of design freedom. We offer a wide range of textures, colors, and patterns, so your shades feel like a natural part of the room. Function and style work together, giving you a polished space that still fits your everyday routine.

Bespoke Shades & Guidance

Every home and every window setup has different needs, so we tailor each shade accordingly. You can explore swatches and combinations at your own pace, with no pressure. Our team offers expert design guidance, product knowledge, and honest recommendations, acting as a helpful partner in shaping your vision.

Roller Shades or Blinds

Both shades and roller blinds help control light, but they do it differently. At Sapphire Shades & Shutters, our motorized roller shades in Safety Harbor bring softness, texture, color, and decorative flexibility to a room. Blinds lean on adjustable slats for light, airflow, and privacy, making shades the better pick for a warmer, layered feel.

Types of Custom Shades

Choose from horizontal shades for tall, narrow windows, vertical shades for wide glass, Roman shades, and honeycomb shades for efficient light control. Add roller shades for versatility, solar shades for UV control, sheer shades for filtered light, and blackout roller shades in Safety Harbor for full darkness.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ron with Sapphire Shades & Shutters was great. We built a new house in Florida and wanted motorized insect screens on the back balcony. Ron came out and measured while the house was still under construction and showed us sample screens, frames, etc. We opted for insect only screens with black tracks to match the house. He also made suggestions on how to hide the motor and cassette that holds the screens at the top.

We contracted with him, but had to wait until the stucco was on the house for him to do final measurements. No problem for Ron. I called him back once the stucco was on and within a couple of days one of his guys came out to do the final measure and they placed the order. I think it was 2-3 weeks to get the screens produced and then they came and installed them. The installer was obviously very knowledgeable and friendly. After install he showed us how to use the remote and how to adjust the screen positioning (if that ever became necessary).

I would totally use Ron and Sapphire Shades again in the future! 5 Stars!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Working with Ron was easy and effortless. He is very knowledgeable and has every possible fabric style you could imagine. His installer. “Eric” was terrific and got our shades up in no time. So very happy with the outcome and they were very price competitive compared to some big named companies. I’d highly suggest them for your shade needs.
