How does the design consultation process work?

We bring the showroom to you. We visit your home to measure your windows and let you look at samples in your actual lighting. This is crucial because colors look different in your living room than they do in a store. We help you choose the right product, give you a price on the spot, and there is zero pressure to buy right then.

Do you use your own installers or sub it out?

We use our own trained installation team, no random subcontractors. Our installers are specialists in our products, work professionally, and leave your space clean when they're done.

Is there a charge for the estimate?

No, our estimates are completely free. We provide in-home consultations at no cost, giving you accurate measurements and personalized recommendations with no obligation.

How long does it take from ordering to installation?

It depends on the product. Some shades can be ready in a couple of weeks, while custom plantation shutters might take a bit longer to fabricate. We will give you a transparent timeline during your consultation so you know exactly when to expect us.

Custom Shutters

Lasting Value

Refined Finish

Tailored Shutter Craftsmanship for Safety Harbor Homes

Custom window shutters give Safety Harbor homeowners a stylish, durable, and functional way to dress every window. They frame a room with clean architectural character, then let you fine-tune light and privacy through the day. That mix of beauty and control is why shutters feel like a true long-term upgrade.

We shape each set to fit your space and your taste. You choose the configuration, material, and finish, so the result complements your home instead of covering it. From rich stains to crisp painted panels, the look stays yours.

Motorization is available as an optional upgrade for select styles, though it never takes center stage. The heart of our service is a precise, high-quality fit that improves both the look and the performance of your home for years.

Configuration & Design Options

Our plantation shutters in Safety Harbor, FL, come in single, double hung, café, bifold, and slider styles. Choose high-quality composites or rich wood shutters, then add custom colors, stains, hidden hinges, or custom shapes. Motorization is also available, so every panel matches your window and design goals with a polished, tailored finish for your home.

Built for Humid Florida Homes

Properly made shutters suit Florida’s climate and resist warping when built from the right materials. Sapphire Shades & Shutters offers eco-friendly, renewable wood options with natural beauty, backed by a limited lifetime warranty. This reassures Safety Harbor homeowners that a refined interior look can hold up in humid, coastal conditions for the long haul.

Everyday Comfort & Home Value

Our interior plantation shutters in Safety Harbor offer real benefits: operable louvers for precise light control, clear visibility when open, and better energy efficiency by reducing heat transfer through the glass. Closed panels add soundproofing, and custom shapes fit arched, rounded, or diamond windows, making shutters a smart long-term investment.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ron with Sapphire Shades & Shutters was great. We built a new house in Florida and wanted motorized insect screens on the back balcony. Ron came out and measured while the house was still under construction and showed us sample screens, frames, etc. We opted for insect only screens with black tracks to match the house. He also made suggestions on how to hide the motor and cassette that holds the screens at the top.

We contracted with him, but had to wait until the stucco was on the house for him to do final measurements. No problem for Ron. I called him back once the stucco was on and within a couple of days one of his guys came out to do the final measure and they placed the order. I think it was 2-3 weeks to get the screens produced and then they came and installed them. The installer was obviously very knowledgeable and friendly. After install he showed us how to use the remote and how to adjust the screen positioning (if that ever became necessary).

I would totally use Ron and Sapphire Shades again in the future! 5 Stars!

His installer. “Eric” was terrific and got our shades up in no time. So very happy with the outcome and they were very price competitive compared to some big named companies. I’d highly suggest them for your shade needs.
