How does the design consultation process work?

We bring the showroom to you. We visit your home to measure your windows and let you look at samples in your actual lighting. This is crucial because colors look different in your living room than they do in a store. We help you choose the right product, give you a price on the spot, and there is zero pressure to buy right then.

Do you use your own installers or sub it out?

We use our own trained installation team, no random subcontractors. Our installers are specialists in our products, work professionally, and leave your space clean when they're done.

Is there a charge for the estimate?

No, our estimates are completely free. We provide in-home consultations at no cost, giving you accurate measurements and personalized recommendations with no obligation.

How long does it take from ordering to installation?

It depends on the product. Some shades can be ready in a couple of weeks, while custom plantation shutters might take a bit longer to fabricate. We will give you a transparent timeline during your consultation so you know exactly when to expect us.

Smart Shutter Solutions Built for Sarasota Living

Florida sun, humidity, and salt air are hard on any window covering. That’s why we build shutters to handle it. You get precise light control on the brightest afternoons and a barrier that helps manage heat transfer before it reaches your rooms. With operable louvers, you decide how much sun comes in. The result is a cooler space, a cleaner look, and a durable upgrade that fits your budget and your daily comfort.

Style That Never Goes Out of Fashion

Our plantation shutters in Sarasota, FL, pair a classic silhouette with modern durability. Choose crisp whites, bold colors, or warm stains to match your interior design vision perfectly. Each panel is carefully measured and custom-made for your specific window, so the finished look feels intentional, refined, and completely yours. It’s a style that holds up beautifully for years to come.

Comfort That Cuts Your Cooling Costs

Well-made custom window treatments in Sarasota, shutters in particular, add a solid layer that slows heat transfer through your windows throughout the day. That boost in energy efficiency can help lower cooling bills. Close the louvers on peak-sun windows, and your air conditioner works less to keep every room comfortable. Over time, that difference adds up to real, noticeable savings.

Moisture-Ready Materials, Expert Care

Coastal humidity calls for the right build. We offer a range of materials to suit every home, and for those who love the warmth of natural wood, our wood plantation shutters in Sarasota use eco-friendly, moisture-resistant materials suited to Florida living, backed by a limited lifetime warranty. Whatever option you choose, every set comes with professional installation for a flawless, lasting fit.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ron with Sapphire Shades & Shutters was great. We built a new house in Florida and wanted motorized insect screens on the back balcony. Ron came out and measured while the house was still under construction and showed us sample screens, frames, etc. We opted for insect only screens with black tracks to match the house. He also made suggestions on how to hide the motor and cassette that holds the screens at the top.

We contracted with him, but had to wait until the stucco was on the house for him to do final measurements. No problem for Ron. I called him back once the stucco was on and within a couple of days one of his guys came out to do the final measure and they placed the order. I think it was 2-3 weeks to get the screens produced and then they came and installed them. The installer was obviously very knowledgeable and friendly. After install he showed us how to use the remote and how to adjust the screen positioning (if that ever became necessary).

I would totally use Ron and Sapphire Shades again in the future! 5 Stars!

His installer. “Eric” was terrific and got our shades up in no time. So very happy with the outcome and they were very price competitive compared to some big named companies. I’d highly suggest them for your shade needs.
